June 5 - First day of Summer Break

The SF Department of Public Health (SFDPH) informed SFUSD today that a cluster of respiratory illness caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae was identified at Lakeshore Elementary School starting Feb. 14. Although the school is currently closed, SFUSD and SFDPH wanted you to be aware of this situation, in case you or your child come down with symptoms consistent with this illness.

Based on the recommendation of the Department of Public Health, SFUSD is closing Lakeshore immediately while public health officials investigate reported respiratory illness in four students and their adult family members. There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 at Lakeshore.
