Student Support

We’re committed to providing every student with the support they need to succeed—both academically and socially. Below is an overview of the systems and resources we have in place for our students.

Our first goal is that all students are successful in their own classroom. Teachers work hard every day to adjust their teaching so that every student gets what they need to learn and grow.

Support for classrooms includes:

  • Coaching support for teachers
  • Collaborative planning time for teachers
  • Professional learning for teachers every Wednesday

If what’s happening in the classroom isn’t enough for some students, we have a second layer of support for individual students. Our Coordinated Care Team meets weekly to review student data (academics, attendance, and behavior.) This way, students who need extra help get it quickly.

Support for individual students (and families) may include:

  • Academic intervention in reading and math
  • Social skills groups or individual support
  • Behavior support
  • Family support

If students still need more help, we can provide specialized support. These services are offered by staff with special training to meet more intensive needs.

Specialized support includes:

  • Special education services
  • Mental health services
  • Individual case management

We believe that with the right support, ALL students can succeed. It is our responsibility to identify the right level of support for each child — and to adjust that support as students grow and change.

If you ever have questions about how this system works for your child, or believe your child may need additional support, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We are here to partner with you.
