- What is it? Math Intervention is targeted small group instruction for students who we have identified could benefit from receiving additional tier 2 support. During math intervention, students work on their mathematical mindset as well as content skills. Our Math interventionists are Ms. Meza and Ms. Charlotte! They will reach out to families before intervention starts to inform them of their child's spot in intervention and what to expect. Reach out Ms. Ariana with questions: contrerasa1@sfusd.edu
Morning/AfternoonReminders:
- During morning drop off, we encourage all students to eat breakfast. Students should not be playing on the playground or with equipment (such as balls). Help our flynn staff out by sharing the same expectations!
- Afternoon dismissal: TK/Kindergarten will continue to dismiss from classrooms in the afternoons.
- If you are picking up a 1st-5th grade student, please wait at their assigned pickup spots! Do not pick students up in the building or as they are walking out of the school. This helps the teachers make sure students are picked up safely.
- Every month, we host eagle assemblies for TK-1st grade and 2nd-5th grade. These assemblies will be focusing on our core values of Kindness, Safety, Responsible, and Respectful with additional themes that are grounded in said values. It is also a space for us to build community and HAVE FUN! This month we reviewed our eagle stamp cards to teach Flynnda all about our expectations for the cafeteria, yard, bathrooms and hallways. Next month we'll be focusing on KINDNESS!
- 2nd-5th grade students received a presentation about Flynn’s cell phone use policy, which is “off and away!” Please review the policy with your child: bit.ly/46rELy
