Mission Bay School will open in the fall of 2026! SFUSD will start accepting enrollment applications for this brand new school between October 17, 2025 and January 30, 2026 for the Main Round Assignment. Families who submit applications by January 30, 2026 will receive assignment notifications in the week of March 16, 2026.

Mission Bay School is located within the Daniel Webster Elementary School’s attendance area, so students who live in the Webster’s attendance area will have Mission Bay School as their additional attendance area school for the 2026-27 school year. In other words, Webster’s attendance area boundaries will also serve as Mission Bay School’s attendance area boundaries.

Webster’s attendance area residents will have two Attendance Area (AA) tiebreakers respectively during the assignment process, if they apply to both Mission Bay School and Daniel Webster Elementary School for Kindergarten General Education pathway (and SDC pathways if applicable).

• Transitional Kindergarten (TK): AA tiebreaker for Mission Bay School only, because Webster ES will only have a citywide Spanish Immersion TK (located offsite at Zaida Rodriguez EES) in SY 2026-27 and moving forward.
• Kindergarten (K): AA tiebreaker for both Mission Bay School and Webster ES, because both schools offer GE K in SY 2026-27.
