Assessments

Visual explaining our vision for assessment and growth.

Assessment is an important tool at Guadalupe Elementary to identify individual student strengths and areas of growth and provide guidance for effective instruction. Teachers track academic progress throughout the year with formal and informal assessments, classroom observations, student work, DIBELS, STAR, and district and state assessments. Assessment data helps teachers differentiate instruction, provide targeted small-group support, and make informed decisions that meet the various needs of our students, including English learners, students receiving special education services, and students who require additional enrichment or intervention. Assessment is not just a measure of achievement but a vehicle for growth, reflection, and opportunity. We work with students and families and celebrate the progress along the way, making sure every child has the support and challenge they need to reach their full potential.
