Introduction
Sanchez Elementary School is a strong school community committed to high quality instruction for all students. We believe deeply in the importance of developing and using strong partnerships to support engagement and learning goals for students. Our commitment to social justice is the single most important principle that will allow us to attain continuing increased student success. Social justice, to us, means high standards, a focus on the achievement of all students, and culturally-relevant instruction. The overarching goal is that Sanchez students have increased access to high quality learning opportunities offered by peer interactions, parents and school staff and driven by a student-centered approach to learning.

Programs
Languages
Unlike Spanish Immersion, the Bi-Literacy Pathway does not include English-only students, allowing us to focus specifically on the needs of bilingual and monolingual Spanish-speaking students.
Our goal is for every child to graduate fully bilingual, bi-literate, and bi-cultural.
Because our middle school feeder school, Everett MS, no longer has a Spanish language program, students who attend Sanchez ES also qualify for the Middle School Feeder tiebreaker when they apply to the Spanish dual language program at James Lick MS for 6th grade.

School Data
School Accountability Report Card (SARC)
School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) are required by state law and are intended to provide families with important information.
School Accountability Highlights
Published annually by SFUSD to provide access to key data points and three-year trends related to student achievement and school culture-climate. The highlights are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Filipino, and Vietnamese.
Social-Emotional and Culture Climate Report
SFUSD annually surveys families and school staff on a range of school climate indicators that have been found to predict positive student academic achievement. The social-emotional learning of students in grades 4-12 is also assessed.
School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)
School communities gather twice a year to review data and previous actions in order to intentionally plan for the coming months. The School Plan for Student Achievement is the template on which this review and stakeholder engagement process is codified.
