Wellness Center Staff

Ms. Early is our School Social Worker and Wellness Coordinator.  She coordinates services provided in the Wellness Center by school staff and coordinates/refers services provided by our Community Based Organizations such as Mission Promise Neighborhood, 100% College, First Graduates, and more.

Mr. Helms is one of our school counselors who supports students with academic and interpersonal relationships.  He supports our community by providing lessons in our classrooms, conducting investigations, assisting with schedules, assisting our 6th grade families and students, and much more. You may contact him at helmsm@sfusd.edu

Mr. Christopher is our Head Counselor who supports 7th grade students with academic and interpersonal relationships.  He supports our community by providing lessons in our classrooms, conducting investigations, assisting with schedules, assisting our Newcomer and 7th grade families and students, and much more.  You may contact him at herrerac@sfusd.edu

Ruben, affectionately known as Papa Ruben is one of Everett's student advisors.  He is also our Athletic Director and Facilities Manager.  Mr. Ruben helps all of our community members by providing support and referrals to community resources.  He assists with supervising our campus and ensuring that all events and visitors on campus maintain our Everett expectations.   As Athletic Director, Ruben assists coaches in all sports, ensures we have supervision at all of our games, and upholds SFUSD athletic policies.  Ruben has entered his 40th year at Everett Middle School and is a staple to our community.  You may contact him at urbinar@sfusd.edu

Jose is one of our student advisors and a beloved coach and member of our community.  He helps all of our community members by providing support and referrals to community resources.  He assists with supervising our campus and ensuring that all events and visitors on campus maintain our Everett expectations.  Jose also oversees much of Everett's attendance, focusing on ensuring all of our students are attending school regularly and supporting families that have found barriers to school attendance.  Jose supports with addressing truancy concerns and many other areas as well.  You may contact him at guevaraj@sfusd.edu

Mr. Alejandro is Everett's Community Health Outreach Worker.  He is the first face our students see when they enter the Wellness Center. Mr. Alejandro assists with triaging student needs and how to address them. He also supports our nurse to address the health needs of our community. Mr. Alejandro also assists with ensuring that our Community Based Organizations have the supports they need to provide services to our students and is able to refer families to various health resources in our community.
