After School Programs

At Bryant Elementary School, we are lucky to have two quality after-school programs serving our community. More than 200 students are enrolled in our after-school programs, where they receive homework help, enrichment activities, tutoring, and youth development.

For more than 130 years, the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center (Good Sam)has served as a community-based nonprofit in San Francisco’s Mission District, providing support to families and youth through a range of integrated services. The organization works to help families access essential resources, strengthen stability, and participate fully in their communities. Good Sam’s work focuses on four primary areas: bilingual and culturally responsive family strengthening services; positive youth development programs for students in grades K–12; dual-language early childhood education; and partnerships that support community collaboration and educational equity. Through its Youth Services programs, Good Sam provides structured in and out-of-school-time opportunities that include academic support, arts, sports, literacy, leadership development, and hands-on learning experiences. These programs are designed to create safe and engaging environments where young people can build skills, develop confidence, and form positive relationships with peers and mentors.
