Welcome to the Wellness Center!
Welcome to the Civic Center Secondary School Wellness Center!
Wellness Centers exist at all SFUSD high schools. They exist to support students and their families manage health and wellness with a range of services related to (mostly) physical and mental health.
The Wellness Center at CCSS is your space, meaning you can come here whenever you need a short break from class. You can come here to talk with a Wellness team member, or you can come here and be left alone -- it's up to you.

Kniesha Primes, Social Worker
My name is Kniesha Primes and I am School Social Worker. I have been a Social Worker for 9 years. This is my 2nd school year as a School Social Worker at Civic Center Secondary School.
I am a product of SFUSD and a San Francisco Native. I am happy to be back within my school district as well as offer services to my community and city. Please reach out to me if you need any assistance and I will do my best to assist.
Dr. Ernest Brown, Therapist
I work for Richmond Area Multi-Services (RAMS) to provide counseling as part of the Civic Center Secondary Wellness team. My services are confidential and can be provided individually to any student or in family settings. The services take place in a private location at Civic Center during the school day except for family sessions that can be arranged for after school if needed.
Additionally, I am part of the Chess instructional program at Civic Center including private and group sessions by appointment. Students may also request instruction in the game of Go.
I am also a part of the mindfulness team and available for individual and classroom mindfulness instruction.

Maurice Harper, Mindfullness Practices
I am a mindfulness coach. Which means I work with students and staff to improve their mindful skills. These skills allow students and staff to function better in the world. It helps manage stress and trauma. It helps with making decisions and allowing us to stop and create mindful pause before responding. We can not control life but we can improve how we respond. I look forward to working with staff and students. “I am not successful, until you are successful"

OTTP
The OTTP program offers group and individual based mental health occupational therapy services focused on increasing self-awareness, group readiness, and building on student and staff strengths and interests to bridge connections in the community.
