Recently Renovated Facilities

At HMCRA, our facilities and modernized building spaces provide safe, flexible, and inspiring environments to support our mission to empower student learners. Renovated in 2020-21, our school is one of the safest and modern elementary school buildings in the district.

The building facilities, plus modernization and renovation efforts, include:

  • A modern playground
  • New 2-story addition, which includes the front office, beautiful library, and outdoor terrace
  • Renovated multi-purpose cafeteria/auditorium
  • Modernized existing main school building (classrooms, hallways, gender-inclusive bathrooms)
  • Large, light-filled classrooms across two stories
  • Outdoor space for our Edible Social Studies classes
  • Structural retrofit and voluntary upgrades for seismic resilience
  • Upgraded mechanical, electrical, plumbing, IT, and fire protection systems
  • HVAC systems that include air conditioning and MERV 13 filtration
