Announcement Details
Announcement Message
This is the final announcement that OASIS will be moving to the new SFUSD website at www.sfusd.edu/oasis beginning Jan. 28. As of Jan. 28, all staff should view OASIS employee announcements at www.sfusd.edu/oasis beginning Jan. 28. All OASIS posters have access to post employee announcements on sfusd.edu and should no longer post announcements to SharePoint. Posters can use the Employee Announcements Contributor Cheat Sheet for instructions on how to post announcements.
The Communications Department will be making further updates and improvements to OASIS on the website in 2021. All employees will continue to receive a weekly email with OASIS announcements.
As for the Dept. of Technology’s plan to “sunset” SharePoint by making it only accessible through the SFUSD network at the end of January 2021, it has been postponed until the temporary pay stub retrieval system is ready to be deployed. This will replace the current My Paystub application and be a short-term solution until pay stubs are made available in the new human capital and business management system, EmpowerSF, during the summer of 2021. Stay tuned for more information and an official go-live date.
Old Website/MODx Going Internal
The old public website (archive.sfusd.edu) and MODx, the content management system for the old website, will be accessible only to employees on the SFUSD network in early February. The old website will still be accessible to employees when connected to the SFUSD network. However, the public will not be able to visit archive.sfusd.edu.
If your department still has content on the old website, you should move it to Drupal, the content management system for sfusd.edu. Having content on Drupal ensures that the content is accessible to people with disabilities, people reading non-English languages, and people using mobile devices.
- View training options for school site content owners and central office content owners and have someone in your department sign up if no one is trained in Drupal.
- If your department still has files on the old website, you should save the files to your Google Drive as soon as possible.
- If you need to access the old website while on a non-SFUSD network, you must download the Global Protect VPN. This will only be an option for a limited time, as the site will be made completely inaccessible by the next fiscal year.
