This Summer, Student Nutrition Services will be welcoming youth back into our cafeterias for school meals during the summer months. This is a return to how summer meals used to be served before the COVID-19 pandemic*
- All meals are free for youth 18 & under and all students enrolled in our district regardless of age.
- At select schools, meals will be served to youth regardless of enrollment in a summer program. Youth do not need to be SFUSD-enrolled.
- Each meal will be served individually, and must be eaten on location at the school. Meals will include a full entree, a side of fresh fruit, vegetables, and optional milk.
- The list of open school locations will be posted on sfusd.edu/schoolfood once the locations are finalized.
For information about school meals available in Summer 2022, please visit and direct families to sfusd.edu/schoolfood. This webpage will continue to be updated as more summer meal program information is available. Contact SchoolLunch@sfusd.edu with any questions.
*The summer meals program is a Federal program. Federal waivers that allowed for program flexibilities (such as adults picking up meals, or picking up for more than one day at a time) were only available due to the COVID-19 school closure, and are set to expire on June 2.
