Dear Colleagues:

We are pleased to let you know that the SF Board of Education has approved the agreements between SFUSD and UESF, and SFUSD and SEIU Local 1021, respectively. These agreements will provide our educators and service workers with historic raises, as we are dedicated to showing gratitude to those who show up every day in service of students and families.

We are working diligently to implement your raise, and are writing today to share an update on this progress. We are coming to the end of the calendar year which is a time when we need to prepare end-of-year documents for all employees. We are prioritizing ensuring that this is done right, while also understanding the importance of implementing your raise in a timely fashion. Many of these tasks require cross functional teamwork between the EMPowerSF team, Human Resources, and Payroll. We are working together to make sure this is done correctly.

This means that the retroactive checks, stipends, and the salary increase will not be processed until the new year. Additionally, it is critical that we ensure that all of the increases are implemented accurately. We expect to have these distributed to you by the end of March, though we hope to accomplish it sooner. We will keep you posted on updates to the timeline in the new year.
