The first voluntary transfer period of the year is now in effect (Monday, Feb. 20 - Friday, Mar. 3). This is a reminder to support you in your job search as a valued SFUSD teacher/employee during this voluntary transfer period. 

Certificated staffing opportunities include classroom teaching positions, social work, nursing, counseling, and other positions under the certificated umbrella. We recognize and value your commitment to working with our students and want to make sure your impending transfer journey is as seamless as possible. 

Although you are an SFUSD employee looking to transfer to another certificated district opportunity, you must complete an application for employment on the Internal SFUSD EMPowerSF Career Page as an internal candidate. Below you will find instructions on what you’ll need before you create your application, create your profile, apply to specific positions and submit said application. 

Current certificated employees may apply for a voluntary transfer at any point during the hiring season.  However, an employee seeking a transfer outside of the Voluntary Transfer Period (2/20/23-3/3/23, 5/8/23-5/12/23) must be released by their current administrator in order to accept a new position.
