Announcement Message
Dear Colleague,
We are writing to inform you of a change in how employees can get in contact with the Human Resources (HR) and Business Services departments.
Do you have a question, request, or comment for Human Resources or Business Services? Instead of email submission, employees can now reach these teams by submitting a ticket in Zendesk. These tickets will be directed to and answered by our central office colleagues.
We are making this change because:
- We are simplifying how you can get in touch with HR and Business Services. You can submit a ticket in Zendesk, and you do not have to know which email address to use.
- Better, more consistent service. As various email addresses are checked by different people and departments, submitting a ticket to Zendesk ensures that your issue does not fall through the cracks or sit in an inbox that is not being regularly checked.
The following email inboxes are no longer in service:
- adminrecruitment@sfusd.edu
- benefits@sfusd.edu
- classified@sfusd.edu
- credentials@sfusd.edu
- hrsummerschool@sfusd.edu
- leaves@sfusd.edu
- paraeducators@sfusd.edu
- payroll@sfusd.edu
- recruiters@sfusd.edu
- salary@sfusd.edu
- subhiring@sfusd.edu
- substitutes@sfusd.edu
- tbclearance@sfusd.edu
- teach@sfusd.edu
- workrestrictions@sfusd.edu
Please note that HR and Business Services teams may still send outgoing communications using these email addresses. For example, during open enrollment for benefits, the Benefits team will utilize benefits@sfusd.edu to communicate information. However, please also direct your requests and questions in response to these emails for HR teams through Zendesk via ticket submission since the inbox will not be monitored.
Our teams are in the process of updating employee-facing materials to reflect this change (e.g., onboarding materials, website, etc.). Even if you see a reference to one of the inboxes listed above, please submit a ticket through Zendesk instead of emailing that inbox.
Your feedback is important to us, and it guides service improvements. Amidst these changes, we recognize that the ticketing interface may feel impersonal to our valued employees. We will be sharing more information about how you can reach us directly if you prefer a direct engagement to address your specific issues.
Sincerely,
Dr. Candi Clark and Kristin Bijur
