Argonne ES Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Argonne! Link to this section

My name is Amy Abdallah-Rojas, and it is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I have the
opportunity to introduce myself as your principal. I am truly honored to serve this community,
and to be able to work and collaborate with passionate educators and families alike who are
dedicated to fostering supportive, academic and experiential learning environments and
experiences for all students.

I believe that education should foster a child’s confidence in themselves, both socially and
academically, while cultivating their sense of curiosity and agency. I also believe that learning is
a unique experience for every student, and should bring opportunities to learn about who they
are and the world around them through collaboration, critical thinking, and self discovery.

I come to you with over twenty years of public education experience. I have spent time working
at the elementary, high school, central, and middle school levels as a teacher, college and
career coordinator, technology coordinator, instructional coach, and administrator. Throughout
my years in education, I have learned the value of establishing relational trust in the
communities I serve and and have worked to foster inclusivity in the learning process for all
students in a variety of educational settings and pathways, including multilingual and various
special education pathways.

I strive to lead with humility and transparency, and value teamwork and collaboration. Humor
and compassion keep me going in the day to day, and the creative, sometimes messy and
non-linear process of teaching and learning keeps me ever curious. I am a lifelong learner who
is committed to working with all of you in support of implementing a shared vision of a beloved,
inclusive educational community where all students flourish and shine. I look forward to
meeting, speaking with, listening to, and learning and growing with you. 🐺❤️

Sincerely,

Amy Abdallah-Rojas
Principal, Argonne Elementary School

environment to understand why the flower isn’t thriving and make changes accordingly.”
