    At Dr. Charles R. Drew College Preparatory Academy, we are committed to honoring each and every student. We promote learning, creativity, social and emotional development. As a staff, we seek to enrich our knowledge and develop new skills to build a community of young leaders striving to reach their academic and personal potential.

    Every teacher at Dr. Charles R. Drew meets California criteria for “Highly Qualified” educators. This ensures that each teacher is competent to teach in the subject and grade level in which he or she is certified and degreed. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated instructional staff committed to meeting the needs of students. Together, Dr. Charles R. Drew College Preparatory Academy has over 100 years of teaching experience.

    Dr. Charles R. Drew College Preparatory Academy offers two afterschool programs: (1) On-site through Urban Services YMCA and (2) Off-site with Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco. SFUSD Early Education Department Program: PreK , TK & K-5, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., 415-330-1546.

    SFUSD annually surveys families and school staff on a range of school climate indicators that have been found to predict positive student academic achievement. The social-emotional learning of students in grades 4-12 is also assessed.
