Essential Question: How do we build solidarity among our communities and utilize it to resist injustice?
ACT (Acting for Critical Transformations)
Global ACTivism: Acting in Solidarity with People Resisting Threats to their Health and Human Rights
We will be learning about current conflicts and the people most affected around the world. We will take actions to help people in need.
Book: Addicted to War by Joel Andreas; The Jungle, a play by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson
GOAL (Get Out And Learn)
Bodies in Motion: Forces that Move and Displace
We will explore how oppressed people in the United States fought for the right to vote, and how that struggle continues today.
Book: Coming of Age in Mississippi by Anne Moody
MADE (Making, Advertising, and Designing for Empowerment)
Fighting Fast Fashion: Designing toward Sustainability and Justice
We will examine the impact of the fast fashion industry by tracing the lifecycle of clothing, and we will learn how to begin to challenge the fast fashion giants and support factory workers.

MARS (Music and Academics Resisting the System)
Sounds of Solidarity: A Guide to Effective Resistance Through Music
We will study resistance movements and develop effective action plans to make positve changes to pressing issues in our communities.

WALC (Wilderness Arts and Literacy Collaborative)
Interconnections: History and Action in our Watershed
We will focus on watersheds: where our water comes from, the land it flows through, and how our actions affect the land and the water within it.
