Dear Lafayette Families,

Happy Thursday!

Tomorrow is our school’s Halloween Celebration. Students may wear costumes to school, but they must still wear their protective masks at all times. We also want to remind any parent or guardian visitors that are coming for our 10:30 Costume Display on the yard to wear masks as well. Students may not wear anything that would scare a 3 and 1⁄2 year old, since we have students of that age on campus. No blood or weapons of any kind. We are also asking that no snacks be delivered to school and any treat bags will not be opened at school, but rather sent home with each of the kids. Overall, we are a nut free school, and that needs to be considered at all times. Here is a flier with more information.

The SPLASH Awards format has changed. Due to some conflicts on Fridays with schedules, we are now doing separate days for Kindergarten through Second Grade and Third through Fifth Grade. Starting next Friday, November 5, we will be holding SPLASH Awards for K-2. THe following Friday, November 12, we will be holding SPLASH Awards for 3-5. It will then alternate back and forth. We will also be holding the awards rain or shine as we will Zoom the awards presentation just like we did during our virtual year.

I put this information in the October 1st Principal’s Letter, but we still have nearly 200 families that have not completed the Multi-Putrpose Family Income Form. We want everyone to complete this ASAP. While all school meals are free this year, we still need all families to fill out the Multipurpose Family Income Form. This form helps our school receive. We have a very small percentage of families that have completed this form. Please follow this link for more information as well as links to complete the form. Multipurpose Family Income Form Link.

It is important to make sure all of your emergency contact information is up to date on ParentVUE. Some of the numbers we try calling when we need to reach you do not work. It is also important to have other emergency contact numbers listed in case we cannot reach parents or guardians. Please log onto ParentVUE to check or complete the emergency cards online.
This comes up every time I do community messaging. Please make sure that you are registered in ParentVUE if you want to receive communication from school and access student information.

Have a wonderful evening and thank you for all you do to support us. Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Lafayette Admin Team
