California is getting ready to issue Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) benefits for the 20-21 school year. Eligible families can receive a P-EBT card with funds to purchase food while school buildings are closed.

The non-profit organization, Spark Tutoring, aspires to help young students who are struggling, especially given the challenges they face in distance learning. Spark Tutoring offers free one-on-one online tutoring in science, language arts, math, and social studies.

Starting on Tuesday, February 23, Muni and Paratransit will be free for those traveling to get vaccinated for COVID-19. This includes trips in both directions. These rides are good for trips to the city-sponsored high-volume vaccine sites, hospitals or anywhere else that is offering vaccines.

AACI is sponsoring its annual art, essay and video contest, Growing Up Asian in America (GUAA), for K-12 Bay Area students.

Specifically tailored to students grades K–6 and families learning from home, the Oakland Museum is celebrating Black History Month. Experience this 30 minute virtual performance that acknowledges a history of oppression and celebrates the dreams and contributions of African Americans.
