Due to central office funding and staffing and the emergency staffing plan, there are some changes to site services this year. We are pausing the launch of our SFUSD Induction New Teacher Support Program enrollment and matching new teachers to mentors until we confirm available coaches and the number of new teachers we can support.

Attention all school principals and interested teachers: An art coordinator must be assigned at each school site by Sept. 26. The Arts Coordinator receives an annual stipend of $2,500 for the school year from the Arts Department and should partner with multiple stakeholders to plan a successful program each year.

SFUSD Environmental Science Center Fall Field Trip Application is now open. We are currently offering day trips to McLaren Park, Golden Gate Park, and Fort Funston for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes.

The Fall Reading Inventory Administration Window is Sept 1- 30 for Grades 9 & 10, and Oct 3 - Nov 4 for Grades 3-8.

AB27 (2021) requires all schools to administer an annual survey that helps identify students and families experiencing homelessness. School clerks and assistants should work with site administrators and your Coordinated Care Team leads to distribute & collect these surveys, and update information in Synergy.

The Contemporary Jewish Museum (The CJM) info about their fall school tours, CJM school tours are free for Bay Area school groups, and always feature interactive tour activities as well as hands-on artmaking.

Enjoy a day of art and family fun at SFMOMA! These special days include art-making activities for the whole family in our Koret Education Center, located on Floor 2, plus additional activities and activities. Admission to the museum is free for up to four adults accompanying one child or teen (eighteen and younger).

Under the direction of LEAD leadership, you will coordinate a cross-departmental team addressing the placement, transfer, and onboarding needs of students recommended for transfer or consultation.

If students let you know that they will not be attending SFUSD this year, please remember to drop them from your roster immediately.
