Dear Aptos Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the Aptos Middle School community! We look forward to spending three great years with you.

Our vision is that Aptos Scholars will exit with mastery of state standards and 21st century skills.  Scholars will engage and be able to apply real world solutions to achieve and reach their fullest potential.  This year’s focuses are: Literacy and Math Across Contents, Social Emotional Learning, and Project-based learning.

6th Graders and New Students:

We plan to hold a New Student Orientation on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. We will be giving you important information regarding academic expectations, general policies and procedures. We ask that parents/guardians accompany their child at this meeting.

School resumes on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. All students will enter through the front doors of the school on Aptos Ave. Parents will be welcomed by the PTSA representatives in the front of the school from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Parents please leave your student at the entrance, no parents will be allowed to enter the building at this time.

We need the voices of every family in our school community to be active in establishing an atmosphere and environment where each and every student and family member knows they are welcomed, needed, and valued. Your involvement in any capacity is encouraged. There are multiple ways to be involved and to connect; volunteering, attendance at family and school events, community connection, donations, Tigers Lair, fundraisers etc… find a way to connect that works best for you. We also send out a monthly Newsletter to all families, so make sure you share your email address or phone number to stay connected.

*Very Important - sign up for ParentVue and share the best and most up-to-date contact information possible for you so that we can share information with you.”

We are confident that in partnership with our families, our children will develop their sense of self, sense of purpose,                 growth in their ability as creative learners. On behalf of the Aptos community, welcome to our new Aptos Tigers!
