Hello Aptos Families,
We will be hosting tryouts for several official school sports teams the first week of school. Tryouts will run approximately 1.5 - 2 hours each day and will take place after school at Aptos Park next door. The locker rooms in the school will be open after school for students to change and get ready for tryouts.
The following sports teams will have tryouts the first week of school:
Boys Soccer: 8/18 @ 4:15pm and 8/19 @ 2:30pm (outfield grass)
Softball: 8/18 @ 4:15pm and 8/19 @ 2:30pm (baseball diamond)
Baseball: 8/20 @ 4:15pm and 8/21 @ 4:15pm (baseball diamond)
Students must be cleared on HomeCampus.com to participate in tryouts. Instructions on how to get cleared on Home Campus can be found HERE. Students whose registration still says Incomplete, Pending, or Denied will NOT be allowed to participate in tryouts per the SFUSD Athletics medical clearance policy.
Students should wear appropriate athletic clothing, as well as bring equipment related to the sport they are trying out for, such as shin guards and cleats for soccer, and a glove and cleats for softball and baseball. Students wearing open toed shoes, crocs, boots, slides, etc will be turned away. No metal cleats are allowed either.
