Our YMCA Before and After School programs support each child’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development through enriching experiences that emphasize achievement, relationships, and a strong sense of belonging. Our after-school program, organized by age group, offers rotating enrichment classes—such as cooking, business, and art—that change every six weeks. Daily programming also includes outdoor play at Eureka Valley Recreation Center, arts and crafts, homework support, STEAM activities, water play on warm days, and more. Our before-school program offers many of these same opportunities, along with Spanish instruction three days per week.
Families may enroll in 3- or 5-day schedules to meet their needs.
Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis and initial yearly program allotment is to designed to meet a minimum of 75% for each grade. Program expansion is based on demand and will be increased on a rolling basis as waitlists reach a minimum of 50% full for a program.

How to Enroll Link to this section
- Create a portal on community.ymcasf.org with guardian, student, and emergency contact info.
- Download and complete the paper application (or pick one up in person at the school site, 4235 19th St.) All fields must be filled in (mark N/A if something doesn’t apply). The photo release is optional.
- Submit your application in person to Tiffany Andrade at 4235 19th Street (HMCRA)
- Pay $50 non-refundable deposit
- Await enrollment confirmation from site leadership
Financial Aid Available: The YMCA offers fully subsidized spots for qualifying families and financial aid options are available for families that do not qualify for 100% subsidy coverage. Please reach out to Tiffany Andrade at TAndrade@ymcasf.org or 650-489-6039 for more information.
