Build your toolkit for teaching multilingual learners in math!
Join Multilingual Pathways and ElevatED Learning Services for a virtual 3-session PD series for secondary newcomer/sheltered math teachers. Sessions are after school, include 3 paid extended hours, and offer practical strategies you can use right away.

Designed for classes with 100% MLLs, but open to any secondary math teacher interested in strengthening MLL support. Attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions. Space is limited to 30 participants, with priority for early registrants, site teams, and multi-session sign-ups.

Notification to all SFUSD Students, Families, and Staff Regarding Important Updates to District Policies and Procedures.

Uniform Complaint Procedures, Williams Settlement Legislation, Nondiscrimination, Bullying & Harassment, and Title IX Sexual Harassment Policies. The Board of Education approved updates to these policies on April 22, 2025, and November 18, 2025. This memo includes updated policies and procedures, as well as translations.

Monthly automated Truancy letters will be posted to Synergy on Friday, December 12, 2025. Families and schools can ensure that attendance data is correct and complete by following this guidance.

The Test Support program, led by the Department of Educator Development, is at the forefront of offering SFUSD teachers complimentary access to Study.com.

San Francisco CalFresh recipients received a letter from the San Francisco Health Services Agency (SFHSA) with information about a one-time emergency prepaid grocery card from GiveCard to help buy food during the government shutdown. Activate their grocery card by December 31, 2025.

Asynchronous Brief Intervention Services Training via Nearpods. This training is required for new secondary School District Nurses, School Social Workers, Wellness Coordinators, SIT Interns, Community Health Outreach Workers, Deans, School Counselors and Community Based Organization Staff.

California Department of Education has affirmed the importance of LGBTQ+ inclusive curriculum.

As you begin to have winter holiday and end of semester celebrations, please keep the Wellness Policy top of mind. Celebrations can be fun and nutritious!

Please share other food resources for families to access during the winter break.

Some SFUSD families who were eligible for SUN Bucks did not receive their card in June. If your child was actively enrolled between July 1, 2024 and September 2, 2025, they may still receive their SUN Bucks card in the next mailing, expected in January or February 2026 (please note: delivery is not guaranteed).

Bring the whole family to the 3rd Annual Winter Literacy, Math & Science Fair on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 11AM to 2PM at César Chávez Elementary School.
Enjoy fun literacy, math, and science games and activities, pick out free books to take home for holiday reading, and join parent workshops on how to support learning at home.
