The Special Education Department is recruiting Principals, Teachers and Paraprofessionals for 3 Covid Recovery Services sessions in the 2021-22 School year. Sessions are 6 weeks long and occur on Saturdays in person, and/or online during the week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting October 14th 2021.

Families can sign up for a free, personalized session with a trained volunteer, to learn an SFUSD technology tool.

Weekly COVID testing is available for SFUSD staff this Fall term. Test kit samples can be dropped off at a school or at 555 Franklin. View the testing schedule for more details.

Office hours will be offered to provide new sped teachers opportunities to ask questions, share sped practices, receive a guiding document called SpEd Competencies and make meaning of it with fellow sped teachers.

The Principal Leadership Institute provides preparation for equity focused candidates who are interested in improving educational outcomes for historically underserved students. In 14 months, candidates earn a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership as well as the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. Active, rigorous, and relevant instruction is a hallmark of the program.

The Where Art Lives program can help you and your students use graffiti art 🎨 to deepen their learning and explore what they can do for their community. This may be best for 6th grade classroom teachers of history, English Language Development, AVID, English Language Arts, Leadership, or Arts. Our services are FREE and can include art supplies, 📚 sketchbooks for each students, teaching artist visits, 💲 stipends for teachers, and support with assessment. We are starting a gender inclusive soccer team for students (grades 6-8) who identify as transgender, nonbinary, and gender fluid to play on Saturdays in Golden Gate Park.
