Invest in Alamo
Did you know that the high-caliber education our children receive at Alamo is significantly supported by the generous contributions our families make to our school each year?
Your financial support, hours of volunteering, and leadership help enable Alamo students to become creative thinkers, problem solvers, and future leaders.
The PTA and Friends of Alamo School Foundation fund a wide range of programs that make Alamo a highly sought-after public school. We are all incredibly fortunate for the diversity of experiences our children can participate in during their years at Alamo.
A wide range of programs would not be possible without funding from our PTA and Friends of Alamo School Foundation, including:
- STEAM programs including outdoor education
- Classroom technology
- Literacy programs & library supplies
- Our school garden
- After School Enrichment Programming
- Overnight outdoor education experiences
- In-class enrichment, including Music, Ceramics & Dance
- “Second Step” for social emotional development
- Field trips for students, including grade-wide trips to Sacramento, Audubon Canyon, Alcatraz & Angel Island
We know that supporting the most at-risk students in each class drives better outcomes for the entire class. This year, one in seven Alamo 1st through 5th graders has been identified as in need of immediate reading literacy support. As SFUSD navigates an unprecedented budget crisis, we again look to our parent community for support. Every $625 we raise together through this campaign will fund the literacy support of an Alamo friend in need, while advancing universal reading literacy for all of our students.
We can reach our goal if every Alamo family contributes an amount that fits their family’s financial health, regardless of that amount. It is not the size of our individual donations but the breadth of our collective commitment that ensures Alamo’s place amongst high performing schools.
Our overall fundraising goal for the 2023-24 school year is $60,000.
Donations of cash or check made payable to Friends of Alamo School can be dropped at the office. Please email questions to Friends of Alamo School Foundation President Todd Boone: firstname.lastname@example.org
