Mission Graduates Extended Day Program (On-site at Flynn) Link to this section

Mission Graduates is Flynn’s primary on-site after school program. Staff pick students up directly from classrooms and lead a mix of academic support, team games, enrichment activities, and outdoor play. The program is closely connected to the school day. Staff coordinate with Flynn teachers, participate in school events, and help create a sense of continuity for students from morning to afternoon. Kids build strong relationships, stay engaged, and take part in fun, themed activities they look forward to.

Offsite After School Programs Link to this section

Mariposa Kids at James Rolph Jr. Playground 

Mariposa Kids offers a joyful, play-based after school experience that starts with a supervised walk from Flynn to nearby James Rolph Playground. Kids enjoy a mix of outdoor free play, crafts, enrichment, and homework help. Later in the afternoon, the program moves indoors to the Clubhouse. Several Mariposa staff also work at Flynn during the school day, including at recess, helping create strong and familiar relationships across settings.

Mission Neighborhood Center at Precita Avenue 

The Mission Neighborhood Center’s Precita Campus offers a free program focused on academic growth, leadership, and cultural identity. Staff provide a structured and supportive space with homework help, recreation, and enrichment. Pickup from Flynn is provided.

Buena Vista Child Care (Off-site at 1266 Florida Street)

Buena Vista Child Care is a long-standing nonprofit rooted in the Mission. Programming includes dance, capoeira, arts, free play, neighborhood volunteering, and academic support. Staff pick students up directly from Flynn. Several BVCC staff also work at Flynn during the school day, which helps create consistency and connection for kids.

Youngblood Coleman TLC Program (Off-site in Bayview with bus pickup) Link to this section

This city-run program offers structured afterschool care at the Youngblood Coleman Clubhouse in Bayview. Students take a yellow school bus from Flynn to the program site, where they participate in sports, tutoring, games, and meals. Families must sign up for SFUSD General Education transportation.
