This month, SFUSD joins the nation in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month. Guadalupe Elementary School, which has a Spanish biliteracy program, is hosting unique celebrations. They kicked off the month by hosting a Mariachi performance and a panel discussion featuring Latinx community leaders.

The school is continuing to celebrate Latinx heritage throughout the month with morning assemblies highlighting different Spanish-speaking countries. At the morning assembly featuring El Salvador and Honduras, the community wore traditional costumes, shared a presentation about the flags and traditional foods, and enjoyed a dance to traditional Honduran music.
