Denman Middle School will not be in session today (Monday, Feb. 5) due to the power outage. We have been in contact with PG&E and it is estimated that the work to restore power will take at least several hours, and power likely won’t be restored until at least 5:00 pm today.

If your child is already at school or if they are on the way to school, we will ensure they are cared for and will be contacting you. Staff will remain on campus today. If you have not already left to come to school, please be advised that students should stay home. Because our school phones are currently not working, please call the SFUSD Link Line at 415-340-1716 if you need to reach SFUSD.

We are working with our transportation partner to stop all pick ups.  If your student has already been picked up, they will be dropped off at school.  Please pick up your student as soon as possible.

Please know that SFUSD does not make this decision lightly. We understand the impact of closing the school for the day has on your student and your family. However, the safety of our students is our top priority. We will continue to keep you updated on the status of the power. As of now, we expect school will be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 6.
