Welcome 6th Graders!
Congratulations and welcome to Presidio Middle School. We look forward to a rewarding three years with you! This page has been created just for you, to help guide you through the registration process and help your child transition into 6th grade. If you can not find the answers you are seeking here, please send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please click the image below to download the full registration packet.
The Registration Packet includes:
What To Bring
For continuing SFUSD Students (Attended a school in the district this school year).
For new SFUSD Students (Transferring from a private school or school outside of SFUSD)
What to Expect During Registration
All families will need to sign in and then they will be given their registration packet.
Staff or volunteers will check your ID & student assignment letter and collect all the forms. Please make a copy of your student assignment letter for your records (or snap of photo with your phone).
All families will need to fill out a basic health form! Click HERE to print and fill it out in advance.
It is recommended that you also sign up for the Open House | Dinner during registration. You can print these out as well to save time during registration.
During registration, you will also need to decide if your child would like to sign up for Orchestra, Band or Choir as their choice for an elective class.
Band, Orchestra & Choir are both full year electives and students are encouraged to stay in the program for their three years at Presidio. To participate in band, orchestra or choir , students are required to start in the 6th grade.
All other students will participate in a rotating schedule of electives, including Computer Science, Dance, Art, Music, Japanese and AVID.
Students who are enrolled in the JBBP Japanese Bilingual Pathway will be enrolled in Japanese. There were some changes to this program that were implemented in the 2016-2017 school year. Please see this handout for more information. There was a presentation in January 2016 that went over some of these changes. Click HERE for the slides from that presentation.
Chorus & Dance are offered as a zero period elective. Please arrive promptly at 8:10 am in room 333 for Choir and room 226 for Dance, on August 17th, 2020 (first day of school) to audition.
