Dear SFUSD community,

The SF Board of Education will be hosting a series of community meetings where we’ll be listening to the community’s vision, values, and goals for SFUSD. We are writing to share more information about these events, and encourage your participation. 

As commissioners, you entrust us with the lives and education of tens of thousands of students across our City. It’s our responsibility to make sure that we create the conditions for students to get the best education possible. To do this, we are adopting the belief that how we operate and what we focus on at the School Board level reaches throughout the district all the way to the classroom. Put simply, if we’re focused on improving student outcomes at the Board, we then set the stage for a focus on improving student outcomes throughout our educational system.  

To that end, the San Francisco Board of Education will be having conversations and listening sessions to gather feedback needed so we can better govern with a focus on student outcomes. Please see the details below. We hope that you can join us at one of these sessions.

To facilitate a robust discussion, there is a maximum number of 50 slots per event. Registration for this event is required due to limited space–RSVP today (Español | 中文 | عربي | Gagana Sāmoa | Tagalog | Tiếng Việt). The Board's goal is to include as many voices as possible, so we ask that each person fills out the form only once. The RSVP form will ask you to select your top three preferences, though you will only attend one session. Please make your selections carefully as we will be using the information gathered on this form for logistical planning purposes
