As we begin planning, we are making a few updates to improve communication and collaboration and to ensure a smooth start to our budget development process. Recently, we shared the most conservative staffing model, which includes presenting possible reductions we may need to make in order to close our structural deficit and stabilize the district.
Over the past two months, we held a series of budget town halls across the district to hear directly from families about their priorities and concerns. We’ve also had discussions with parents, principals, educators, and the school board. We heard loud and clear that we need to center student learning, support, and safety in all of our decisions.
