Some SFUSD families who were eligible for SUN Bucks did not receive their card in June. If your child was actively enrolled between July 1, 2024 and September 2, 2025, they may still receive their SUN Bucks card in the next mailing, expected in January or February 2026 (please note: delivery is not guaranteed).

The weekly OASIS newsletter and the Family Announcements Bulletin (FAB) will be on Fall Break next week and will not be sent out on Thursday, Nov. 27. Both OASIS and FAB will resume distribution on Dec. 4.
Per California Education Code Section 53008 all students in grades K–2 are screened each year for risk of reading difficulties. In SFUSD, Grade 1 & 2 students are screened for reading difficulties using Amira. Amira Screening for newly enrolled grade 1 & 2 students must be completed by November 21, in order to comply with the state requirement that students are screened within the first 45 days of school. The San Francisco Health Services Agency (SFHSA) is giving a one-time prepaid grocery card to San Francisco CalFresh households to help them buy food during this uncertain time. SFUSD staff are encouraged to share information and resources from the CalFresh Emergency Grocery Card Program with families and community partners.
