Starting in the 2025–26 school year, California Education Code Section 53008 requires that all students in grades K–2 are screened each year for risk of reading difficulties. In SFUSD, Grade 1 & 2 students will be screened for reading difficulties using Amira October 1-24. Read to find resources to prepare students and staff for administration.
