Jefferson Elementary is a large school with a small school feel. Jefferson's unique location allows for dynamic partnerships with the greater community and the enhancement of educational opportunities for both students and teachers. The teachers and staff at Jefferson are curious learners who are passionate about delivering meaningful and authentic learning. Students come to Jefferson with a range of talents and interests that are enhanced by the numerous educational programs and Jefferson traditions.

The mission of Yick Wo Elementary School is to foster lifelong learning by providing enriching academic, social, emotional, artistic and physical development experiences to every student.

Visitacion Valley Elementary School is a Title I School with culturally diverse students and staff who work together to create and sustain a culture of service and support. We are dedicated to partnering with our families and community to provide our students an optimal education that ensures their lifelong success. As part of this process, we host family engagement meetings, events, and workshops on a regular basis.

Sutro Elementary provides a strong academic program within a family-oriented atmosphere for our diverse student population. We commit ourselves to ensuring that all students, regardless of their ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender, or ability level, will enjoy an equal opportunity to succeed in school. At Sutro, we believe that a safe, secure school environment, collaboration, and cooperation all enhance the learning experience for each of our students. After-school opportunities include homework supported by after-school programs, piano, Mandarin and coding classes.

Sunnyside Elementary School is a small neighborhood school with a diverse student body and a focused, hardworking staff. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive education that will develop students who are well prepared to succeed in the complex society of the 21st century. We believe that every child must get what he or she needs academically, socially, and emotionally in order to succeed. This will not be equal, as each child has his or her own specific needs, and will require being stimulated, supported, and challenged at different levels and in different ways in order to be successful.

Our mission to guide the development of a well-rounded human being who has the ability, skills, and attitude to contribute positively to self, family, community, and society. Starr King Elementary School is a lively, student-centered and ethnically diverse community located atop Potrero Hill in San Francisco. The school’s mission is to provide a supportive and equitable learning environment that empowers students to be life-long learners and community leaders.

At Commodore Sloat, children learn by doing. Our experienced staff leads children to do more than find the right answers. We learn to pay attention to how we think as well. Sheridan Elementary School is located in the Oceanview Merced Ingleside District. We serve students in preschool as well as Kindergarten through 5th grade. At Sheridan, we meet the needs of each individual child and aim to provide an inclusive and psychologically safe environment where all students excel, regardless of race or economic status. Sheridan school community believes in high expectations and an outcome of success for all students.
