The September 2022 Test Coordinator meetings provide an overview of district level assessments and responsibilities for school sites. Every SFUSD school must send at least one representative.
AB27 (2021) requires all schools to administer an annual survey that helps identify students and families experiencing homelessness. School clerks and assistants should work with site administrators and your Coordinated Care Team leads to distribute & collect these surveys, and update information in Synergy.
San Francisco Public Schools fulfill the functions of both a unified school district and a county office of education. County Schools and Programs serve as a safety net for students at high risk of dropping out, including those expelled, incarcerated, homeless, foster, and chronically truant in grades 7-12. The Director of County Schools and Services provides strategic leadership, oversight, and coaching to County School and program leaders with the primary goal of ensuring every leader has effective professional learning and support designed to build their personal leadership and drive change in their programs.
Elementary school classrooms are invited to visit the California Academy of Sciences for free via the Rock Fund Program, and receive an interactive science program led by professional museum educators.
Mandated reporter of suspected child abuse training has been assigned. The completion due date is September 30, except for administrators required to complete the training as part of the ILM. The due date for the ILM is September 9.
