The Human Resources Department will be closed to in-person service from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26, 2026. This closure will accommodate crews as they complete construction, relocation, and reconfiguration of workspaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors of 555 Franklin. During the move, Human Resources employees will be available to support staff by email, by phone and via Zendesk.

The SF Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Public open session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Did you know that you can earn salary credits for professional learning time that is outside of your contract day and not compensated by extended hours or your 18 hours? The Office of Professional Growth and Development asks that you read the following process and submit any requests for CEU for pre-approval. This process is also a way for you to keep track of any and all professional learning activities once they are approved as eligible for continuing education units.

To encourage student stewardship and reduce property loss, SFUSD is introducing a standardized Chromebook chargeback process for lost or willfully damaged devices. School leaders have the discretion to waive fees or offer community service alternatives for families unable to pay, and are provided with a toolkit—including parent letter templates and Help Desk support—to implement the policy.

Join us August 5–7, 2026, at the South San Francisco Conference Center for professional learning opportunities offered across the Curriculum and Instruction Division. Participants will receive up to 6 hours of extended pay per day based on attendance.
