SCRAP, a non-profit creative reuse center and arts education nonprofit is partnering with SFUSD to reduce the amount of waste leaving schools by collecting particular reusable materials for their Depot.

The San Francisco Suicide Prevention Hotline's Youth Outreach Coordinator offers FREE presentations and workshops for students, staff and parents. The presentation will inform and destigmatize suicide. The majority of the presentation goes over Warning Signs, and how to help a friend who may be suicidal.

Are you interested in helping your school reduce the waste we send to landfill? Sign up for the Zero Waste Champion program! Zero Waste Champions are volunteers involved in promoting environmental stewardship and increasing participation in recycling and composting at schools. These volunteers will receive training and ongoing support from Recology, the SFUSD Sustainability Office, and the SF Department of Environment.

Need whiteboards? Cafeteria tables? Chairs? Office Desks? Student Desks? Well, look no further than the SFUSD Furniture Exchange Pilot Program! As the Facilities Division prepares school for reopening, we are collecting good quality (and in some cases brand new) furniture at sites that no longer need it. In order to keep these resources within the School District, we have created a document to view these items and request what you'd like.

SFUSD is partnering with Recology to launch a Zero Waste Champion Program next school year and is recruiting a working group of 8-10 teachers, staff or custodians who are interested in receiving Zero Waste Professional Development and helping develop the program this summer.
