Offer letters for summer 2026 positions are delayed pending more clarity as to whether any additional days will be added at the end of the school year.

SFUSD has 27 spots for grades 6–12 teachers/counselors to attend the Digital Teaching and Learning Community of Practice at AVID Summer Institute in Sacramento, June 15–17, 2026. Participants will explore digital citizenship, AI integration, and tech-enhanced WICOR® strategies. AVID Central Office covers registration, reimbursements, and participant compensation.

The summer 2026 program dates and sites have been finalized by the Summer Planning Team.

Teach a hands on STEM curriculum to JROTC high school students. The position consists of 12 hours of PD (3/21 - 3/22) and a six day residential camp (3/26-4/1). You are compensated through extended hour pay amounting to about $2500.

High School Credit Recovery-Evening/Saturday classes are available for students who need additional credits to earn a high school diploma. Teacher Salary, in accordance with the UESF contract, is $60.77/per hour – approximately 80 extended hours will be paid out over the course of each semester.

SFUSD will be hosting a SAT School Day at Lowell High School for only SFUSD students on Monday, October 13, 2025, starting at 8:30 am, ending by 12 noon. Monday, October 13th is a SFUSD school holiday, Indigenous Peoples' Day.  There are no makeup dates for this testing opportunity.

SFUSD will be hosting the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT at Lowell High School for only SFUSD students on Saturday, October 11, 2025, OR Monday, October 13, 2025; starting at 8:30 am and ending by 12 noon on either date. Students will choose their PSAT exam date from those two options when registering.
