Last month, Superintendent Wayne declared a payroll state of emergency to accelerate our efforts and do right by our employees. Here is an update on our progress.
The CCEIS (Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services) team members are recruiting Black classified/certificated staff, community-based organizations (affiliated with SFUSD), retirees from SFUSD, AND Parents/Caregivers to be a part of sharing thoughts and solutions that help to interrupt the over-representation of Black students going into Special Education under emotional disturbance and other specific criteria.
NEW VASA High School: A Certificate Pathway for SFUSD Juniors and Seniors! BEGINS Spring 2023! The NEW VASA High School Certificate Pathway is a collaboration between the SFUSD Fa’a Sāmoa Initiative, SFUSD NHPI Programming, SFUSD College and Career Readiness, CCSF VĀSĀ (Oceania) Student Success Program, Critical Pacific Islands & Oceania Studies, and the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.
Eligible non-citizen voters for the next school board election on November 8, 2022 should register with the Department of Elections by October 24, 2022.
Apply for the 2022-23 Impact Awards, which are designed to fund a promising idea and help a school site implement it. Awards of up to $25,000 are available for each applicant.
Apply for a QTEA Innovation grant by September 16. The QTEA Innovation Awards provide facilitation and funding for schools to redesign an aspect of their instructional model. Your school will receive up to $20,000 in funding to test and implement your solutions over the course of a year.
