Free Mentoring Program for ages 6-17 years old. Reach & Rise helps youth ages 6-17 develop tools to cope with issues such as low self-esteem, family and peer conflicts, academic underachievement, and decision-making skills through a positive adult-child relationship.
Monthly automated Truancy letters will be posted to Synergy Friday, April 10, 2026. Families and schools can ensure that attendance data is correct and complete by following this guidance.
SFUSD Parent Advisory leaders, current and aspiring SFUSD School Site Council (SSC) parent leaders, English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) parent leaders and other Educational Partners are welcome to join this event to:
1) Learn how the community can engage in and support effective governance to improve student outcomes.
2) Share best practices for effective school community partnership.
Interested in seeing a fire truck up close? Join the San Francisco Fire Department and San Francisco Safe Routes to School on Sunday, November 3rd at 11am for a bike ride to celebrate firefighters and their families for their efforts around the city! The bike ride will begin at Panhandle Park and will end at the 14 Ave E Meadow- where a fire truck will be available to explore to the public!
3rd-5th graders and their teachers are invited to a free Literacy Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at San Francisco City Hall. Students will be engaging with "love of reading" themed workshops and programming with Bay Area and California-based authors and artists, ranging from writing and illustrating books, to songwriting and podcasting. The deadline to sign up is Nov. 8, 2024.
Mission Bit offers coding classes every semester, including summer, both remote and in-person. Applications for their spring semester are now open! Ages 14-18.
