Longfellow Elementary School

Longfellow Elementary School, located in the outer Mission district, builds on a tradition of 140 years. We believe in educating the whole child, empowering families, and engaging students in the joy of learning. The motto at Longfellow is, Together We Can Make a Difference. Teachers, parents, and the school community work together to provide the academic and social skills to assure the success of all students.

Abraham Lincoln High School

Abraham Lincoln High School is a comprehensive high school with a long history of high expectations and excellence. The goal is to provide a positive, nurturing school environment that supports high academic performance and high student self-image. We recognize that students bring their diverse experiences into the classroom, and believe instruction should be responsive to different student learning needs.

Lakeshore Alternative Elementary School

Lakeshore truly represents the diversity of San Francisco. Located directly across the street from Lake Merced, our students and families are able to appreciate the beauty and charm of the area in an urban district. Lowell High School and San Francisco State University are our neighboring schools, with whom we work closely to expand opportunities to ensure all students are academically, socially and emotionally prepared for middle school and beyond.

Lafayette Elementary School

Lafayette School provides a comprehensive curriculum that stresses academic excellence for our diverse student population. We are a neighborhood school in the Outer Richmond area serving the community since 1927. In addition to general education students, there are students representing 23 language groups as well as students with special needs. We are also one of the magnet schools for pre-k through fifth grade hearing impaired students.

Francisco Middle School

Francisco Middle School, located in the heart of the Chinatown-North Beach community, has a rich tradition of delivering a strong academic curriculum to our diverse student population. We involve our students in meaningful school experiences that promote the joy of learning while addressing students' individual needs. Our school believes that all students should have access to an appropriate and quality education that prepares them to be high functioning members of the community.

James Denman Middle School

Our vision for James Denman Middle School is that all members of our learning community will be literate, motivated, respectful, and independent thinkers. We commit to creating a safe, non-competitive environment in classrooms—getting to know individual students—their families, skills, and talents. Our experienced teachers demonstrate, encourage, and expect respect in the classroom. They challenge each student to work hard and learn from others.
