Announcement Message

We want to present an opportunity for female adolescents between the ages of 13-15 and their parents to participate in a Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences study at Stanford University.

Our study, the Teen Health Study, is specifically examining risk factors of Anorexia and Bulimia. We hope to use the results of our study to inform the design of more effective prevention programs and treatment interventions. As the current gold-standard treatment for Anorexia is only effective for 25-33% of individuals, studies investigating risk factors are extraordinarily important.

In addition to aiding future prevention and treatment programs, participating in a study is a fun way for adolescents to learn about research and get involved in science.

Visit our website at teenhealthstudy.weebly.com for take the eligibility survey.

You can also email us at teenhealthstudy@stanford.edu for questions and to learn more information.

SFUSD neither endorses nor sponsors the organization or activity described in this announcement. This distribution is provided as a community service.
