The SF Board of Education Study Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

ParentVUE class schedules will be available beginning at 5 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 14. Some schools may not have schedules available immediately as they continue finalizing their master schedules. All schedules will be available by Monday, Aug. 17, at the latest.

Broadway Tunnel construction beginning August 17 may increase traffic and travel times near Chinatown and North Beach schools, so families and staff should plan extra time for drop-off and pickup.

Approved 2026-27 Academic and Holiday Calendars are available to download and print at sfusd.edu/calendars. The academic calendar is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Arabic, Vietnamese, and Samoan.

Originally posted on Aug. 6, 2026: Make sure your student is up to date on all required immunizations by school entry on Aug. 17 to reduce the risk of exclusion. There may be a wait for immunization appointments with your healthcare provider, so get started as soon as possible.

SFUSD is looking for new members for its Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee, which provides essential oversight for the Bond Program. SFUSD will be hosting a SAT School Day at Lowell High School for only SFUSD students on Monday, October 12, 2026, starting at 8:30 a.m., ending by 12 noon. Monday, October 12th is a SFUSD school holiday, Indigenous Peoples' Day. SAT School Day is a real SAT test administration except it must be hosted on a weekday. SAT scores from this test administration will be available to students on November 5. There are no makeup dates for this testing opportunity.

SFUSD will be hosting the 2026 PSAT/NMSQT at Lowell High School for SFUSD students on two dates - Monday, October 12 (Indigenous Peoples Day school holiday) and Saturday, October 17, both dates starting at 8:30 a.m., ending by 12 noon. Students will choose one of those test dates for the PSAT/NMSQT.

San Francisco high school students can apply for the Fall 2026 High School Elections Ambassador program, gaining civic engagement experience and outreach skills while earning a certificate signed by the Mayor. Applications for the Fall 2026 program close August 30.

Join us for a day of expert-led presentations, 1-on-1 consultations with the Assessor’s Office, and a community resource fair. The conference is brought to you by City and County of San Francisco Assessor-Recorder Joaquín Torres.

Middle school students in grades 6–8 can join the Stonestown YMCA’s fall co-ed Youth Basketball League, featuring weekly practices, Saturday games, and skill development for beginner to intermediate players.

Free fall art classes taught by local artists are available in the Mission and Excelsior, with programs ranging from animation and photography to fashion, printmaking, music production, and murals.

Undocumented and underserved San Francisco young adults ages 18–24 can apply for a paid Career Pathways program offering job training, hands-on experience, and entrepreneurship skills. Deadline for application is Aug. 19, 2026 at 5 p.m.

Calling all young poets ages 14–19 in San Francisco: Apply for the next K2C youth poetry cohort, with advanced workshops and a $700 college savings scholarship. Deadline to apply is August 28 at 11:59 p.m.

SFPL offers free homework help and tutoring through Brainfuse, decodable readers for young learners, and a chance to finish Summer Stride and earn a free tote bag.

Join us at the Stonestown Family YMCA for our upcoming Youth Futsal Clinic, with age groups ranging from K-5th, our experienced coaches will give participants a proper introduction to the game of Futsal.
