The Filipinx Student Wellbeing Conference (FSWC) is a youth-led, mental wellness conference organized by current and former Buong Loob: Filipinx Student Wellness Internship interns. We aim to create courageous learning spaces for Filipina/o/x and Filipina/o/x American identified SFUSD high school students to discuss topics related to Filipinx cultural values, identity, mental health stigma while centering the student experience.

This free event is open to students who:

1) Identify as Filipina/o/x or Filipina/o/x American
2) Are in 9th/10th/11th/12th grade
3) Currently enrolled in San Francisco Unified School District. (Students from neighboring districts will be added to a waitlist.)

Space is limited. Registration ends Saturday, April 22nd or until we reach capacity. Up-to-date information about workshop offerings and conference schedule can be found on our website

Youth Registration

Adult Ally Registration

Different ways Adult Allies can show up for students and support our event:

1) Organize a Youth Contingency from your campus or organization to attend the conference as a group. Email Verma@bayanihancc.org for more information.

2) Volunteer with us. We seek adult allies who can commit at least 2 hours to help staff the event and are comfortable with various tasks (i.e., giving directions to meeting rooms, registration, check-in, clean-up, and safety). Email Verma@bayanihancc.org for more information.

3) Register for the event to attend the ADULT ALLY workshop series. We have an incredible lineup of facilitators, including our Buong Loob high school youth interns.

4) Help us get the word out to Filipino and Filipina/o/x American high school students, families, and community allies to attend the conference. Two fliers are attached in PDF and PNG format (for Instagram).

5) Make a small financial contribution to sustain our mission to provide FREE mental health education programming to Filipinx youth throughout the SF-Bay Area.

Thank you for supporting our mission to destigmatize mental health in the Filipinx community! We hope to see you on April 29th!

For questions, contact Harvey Lozada at lozadah@sfusd.edu or Verma Zapanta at verma@bayanihancc.org.
