Announcement Message

The Student Success Fund Advisory Council (SSFAC) is a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to actively contribute to the formation, growth and development of the Student Success Fund.

This advisory council will serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, sharing diverse perspectives, and providing valuable insights to shape the future of this initiative.

The SSFAC will play a crucial role in ensuring that our decisions align with the needs and aspirations of our stakeholders. In order to ensure that key stakeholders perspectives are represented the SSFAC’s composition will include both appointed seats (5) and at large seats (8) which interested community members can apply for through this application due by October 7, 2023, 5 p.m. PT. The Student Success Fund Advisory Council Composition is described below:

1. Appointed Seats appointed by relevant bodies:

  • Two (2) Youth representatives appointed by youth currently serving on the San Francisco Youth Commission and the SFUSD Student Advisory Council

  • One (1) Principal representative appointed by the United Administrators of San Francisco (UASF)

  • One (1) Educator representative appointed by the United Educators of San Francisco (UESF)

  • One (1) Community School Coordinator representative appointed by SEIU, Local 1021

2. At Large Seats filled through an application process:

  • Four (4) Family Representatives: Open to any family member of a current SFUSD student. 

  • One (1) Beacon Director: Open to any Beacon Director in SF. 

  • One (1) Community Partner Representatives: Open to any Community Based Organizational (CBO) partner with relevant expertise and experience. 

  • One (1) School Site Service Provider Representative: Open to CBO Partner providing school-based programs or services on-site. 

  • One (1) Subject Matter Expert representatives (SME): Open to any consultant, technical assistance provider, researcher and/or practitioner with expertise in Community Schools Implementation. 

Interested individuals should complete and submit this application by the October 7, 2023 5 p.m. PT deadline. Guidance for applicants can be found here. All applications will be reviewed by the executive committee and selection for this inaugural one year term will be announced in November.
