The Department of Elections is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2025 San Francisco High School Elections Ambassador Program. The Elections Ambassador program is offered twice each year, during California's High School Voter Education weeks, the last two full weeks of April and September. Applications for the Fall 2025 are now open. 

The deadline to apply is Thursday, August 28.

Prior to the start of the program, the students attend a training workshop to learn about voter registration eligibility requirements and how to register and pre-register voters. During the program, the students create an outreach plan, develop promotional materials, and conduct pre-registration and voter outreach events in their schools and neighborhoods. At the end of the program, we hold a ceremony at City Hall to thank the students for their efforts.
