Ride Muni to School Week 2026 - Apply to Our Art Contest!

From Feb. 2-6, 2026, Safe Routes to School is celebrating Ride Muni to School Week. Ride Muni to School Week is Safe Routes's annual citywide event that promotes Muni as a safe, fun, and accessible way for students to get to school.

We’re inviting all K–12 students to submit original artwork to our Ride Muni to School Week art contest. Whether you sketch, paint, or design digitally, make something that responds to one of the following prompts:

  1. Meme-ify Muni! Take your favorite meme and incorporate Muni in a creative way.
  2. Ride on the wild side! Draw your favorite animal riding Muni, waiting at a Muni station, or reimagined as a Muni vehicle.

Submission guidelines:

  • All media welcome: drawing, painting, mixed media, digital, etc.
  • Artwork should be 8.5” x 11”
  • Email a copy of your art to SRTSContest@sfmta.com with your name, school, and grade level
  • Deadline: Friday, Feb. 27, 2026
