Please join us at the next meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee on Public Engagement on Thursday, Feb. 5. at Leola M. Havard Early Education School. This committee was formed to strengthen how the SF Board of Education engages with our school communities. Over the course of four meetings this spring, the Board is working toward a set of concrete deliverables that will help guide and improve the Board’s approach to public engagement moving forward.

Meeting Details:
This second session will build on the conversations from our first meeting on Jan. 8 and now continue to focus on:
- How the Board engages with the public in making major decisions - such as school consolidation or changes in the enrollment process
- What are specific ways in which the Board of Education can routinely engage community members

The committee is co-chaired by Commissioner Parag Gupta, Board President Phil Kim, Commissioner Alida Fisher and the SF Board of Education deeply value the opportunity to engage directly with community members during this process.
